AJAHN PHOL's PRINCIPLE

Computers and related technologies are the greatest knowledge development tools in the history of the world. Of course, they are also great tools for education. One of the most powerful uses of computer in education is the Internet. The beauty of the Internet is that it holds the potential for each of us to be the captain of our own ship on the sea of information.

My name is Phramaha Phol Siddhidatto O-Raphin. I am a Buddhist monk; people call me "Ajahn" which means "teacher". I graduated from Mahachula Buddhist University in Thailand with a major in Educational Administration in 1989. I have been invited by Thai community of Houston to perform Buddhist activities in that area. I have worked as secretary of Wat Buddhavas of Houston, Thai Buddhist Temple in Houston, for 6 years. I am also a member of The Thai Bhikkhus Council in USA, an organization of Buddhist monks in USA which has members in about 80 temples across the States. I am studying technology at Texas A&M University-Commerce in order to facilitate the use of technology for the Buddhist temples of the Thai Bhikkhus Council in USA.
